Type, Quality and Temperament

We KNOW about Miniature Poodles . . . .  have bred, judged  at the highest levels around the world and exhibited them with huge success for over forty years.

We LOVE the breed . . . . they live in the house, are part of the family and have character and personality.  We live, breathe and sleep Poodles.

We are one of the Top Breeders in the U.K.  . . . . but we don’t keep large numbers, certainly no more than six and more usually only four or five.  Our successes in the show ring are world famous, but our dogs are not just Prize Winners. Our breeding lines have been selected and tested for good health and excellent temperament over four decades.  We were one of the first Poodle breeders in the U.K. to embrace the OptiGen DNA test.  Since 2003 all breeding stock have been tested and we have been diligent in our use of the new technology to help eradicate this problem from our breeding line  while keeping the essence and type of our line alive and successful.

Puppies for show and companions sometimes available

Retired show/breeding dogs and bitches, usually around 3 years of age are occasionally available to loving, permanent and approved homes.  Homes will be vetted.

No one can make 100% guarantees about the future, but you can rest assured that we have done our utmost to ensure you will have many years of problem free, happy companionship.  If things do go wrong we offer a lifetimes back-up, indeed we will always take any dog back in the event that you are ever unable to take care of the dog for whatever reason.

Jackie has a lifetimes experience in the breed, has been the ‘Dog World’ Breed Columnist for many years and is Secretary of the Miniature Poodle Club, the only Club who deals solely with Miniature Poodles in the UK..  Advice freely given

Looking Back - recent review. Following a meteoric rise to fame Hannah (Sixth Sense) ended 2007 as ‘Dog World’ Joint Top Winning Bitch for the Breed with 5 CC’s, 2 BOB and 7 RCCs.  She produced a single puppy in her first litter born 1st May 2008 (Just The One), had two successful trips out in August to give Revelation a rest from the ring before returning  to maternal duties to produce a superb litter of five in November.   Trick or Treat and Box of Tricks will be in the ring May 2009.   We wish Pam Wilson every success with ‘Marge’.

Becci (Revelation) was little shown until late in 2007 but quickly made her title early in 2008 and ended the year as Top Winning Bitch with 7 CC’s, 1 RCC and 1 BOB.  She has started 2009 with 3 further CC’s and Best of Breed at Crufts.

At the final three shows of 2008 Lottie (Just the One) has won all of her Minor Puppy classes, plus Best Puppy at ECPC, a Reserve CC and BPB at BUBA. She has since been Best Puppy at NPC & NWPC, BPB at Crufts and has only been beaten once in all her Puppy classes to date.  Into Junior added a further RCC at 12 months, to be more seriously campaigned later in 2009 when Revelation retires for maternal duties.

Known as breeders of Black Miniatures, we recently bred our first Brown for many years - ‘Biarritz’ - who made her show debut early in 2008.  Our last brown ‘Mahogany’ is behind the breed’s Bitch CC Record Holder Ch. Suraliam Putting On The Ritz.  We have been delighted with ’Bea’s many successes with her new owner Ann Saunders. She was  the Top Winning Puppy for 2008 and started 2009 with the Reserve CC at Crufts!
